One of the last real Cave Houses on the Caldera in Firostefani
Spiti Barbara is a 220 year old traditional cave house situated in Firostefani, about a 10 minute walk from the main
town, Fira.
The house is designed for 4 people. Each room has a queen and single bed and so can accommodate a minimum of a couple
or 2 singles.Furthermore, there is a sleeping loft with a double bed.This is accessed via a ladder (See photo).
There is a bathroom off the main living room and shower/laundry and toilet across the courtyard -typical of the
architecture of the time. There are two rooftop terraces with magnificent views over the Caldera.
The courtyard with its well established olive tree provides a cool and private place to sit.
The house has been sympathetically renovated to provide a modern standard of comfort whilst retaining as much as
possible, the traditional and typical architecture of a cave house.
The house is located just below Efterpi Villas and just above Dana Villas. Tavernas, coffee shops and small supermarkets
which are open in season, are very close, but the main town of Fira is only a 10 minute walk, along a scenic pathway.
Spiti Barbara is perfect for 1-2 couples or a small group of friends, up to 6 guests. An additional exterior bedroom can
also be rented together with the main house to create spacious holiday home to accommodate 4-6 people.

Please note that Spiti Barbara is located on a footpath and down stairs, the road being some 50 metres away. You must be able to carry your luggage this distance.

A reservation will only be finalized and confirmed upon receipt of 20% of the rental price as down payment.The remaining payment is due to the above account 4 weeks before the date of your planned arrival. Bookings made less than four weeks before the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
Transfer from and to the airport can be arranged ( 20-25 € one way for 2 people).
